Thank you soo much may i know one more thing what is difference between admin and interface admin and what is the criteria for interface admin WZA784 (talk) 18:52, 24 Okotobala 2022 (UTC)Reply
I am both an Interface Administrator and a regular admin here and in other projects.
There is no difference really.
It is not a big deal to be an admin.
The difference between a normal user and admin is that admins have an ability to protect and delete pages. They also have an ability to block and unblock users who are interrupting Wikipedia (amene akusokoneza Wikipedia).
You can do all what admins do without even being an administrator, unless you want to block someone and other staff.
.
Interface Administrators are administrators who fix how the Wikipedia looks like. It's hard to understand how Interface Administrator rights work. For example here, I fix pages to load faster in browsers both when using mobile and desktop mode.
It is much like being a developer, making apps, websites, bots. You encode pages, please have you ever heard about encoding a page before? :)
As the English Wikipedia explains, Interface Administrators are users who can edit all JavaScript (JS), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) pages, and can edit pages in the MediaWiki namespace. They are the only local user group with the ability to edit all JS/CSS pages. These pages are executed by the browser of wiki editors and readers as code, which can be used to change how content is styled, change the behavior of pages, or even create complex tools to help with editing.
The ability to edit JS/CSS that is executed in other users' browsers is very powerful, and extremely dangerous in the hands of a malicious user; interface administrators should be users who are highly trusted, have at least a basic understanding of JS and CSS, are aware of the privacy expectations of Wikimedia wikis, and have a decent understanding of how to secure their accounts (such as choosing strong and unique passwords and avoiding malware infection).
.
And you are too early to ask about rights as your account is only 2 days old as you registered yesterday(as of today I am replying to this). But I hope all you wanted is to know how these work. So thanks for asking.

Hello

[sintha gwero]

Hello @Tumbuka Arch Hope you are doing well I want to know that can I get the supervisor right now is it possible? WZA784 (talk) 13:15, 24 Novembala 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi, what do you want to supervise here?
There are already 3 admins here.
Anyway, it is not possible for the following reasons:
  • You have not reached 4,000 edits on any Wikipedia yet. Your edits are 304.
  • You edit articles to increase edits so that you have a position here. Please note, edit meaningfully than spamming the wiki.
  • You are too new on (this) Wikipedia, do you have an alternative account that you use that is older? Because you are only 34 days old here (as of today on 25-11-2022). Wikipedia community requires someone with 4,000 edits and at least someone with experience of 6 months from the day of registration.
Do you have question?

Toyota

[sintha gwero]

@Tumbuka Arch Hello, can you correct the machine translation errors on Toyota article in order to keep it. Thanks HELGAPRV (talk) 08:13, 14 Januwale 2023 (UTC)Reply

@HELGAPRV I have corrected/fixed it, but please don't create articles in languages that you don't know, just because the wiki looks small or less active. We are watching every visitor and editor here. Your article looks like an advertisement that a company does or sell. Machine translations lack human touch and are not needed on an encylopedia.
Note: If you create articles in many wikis whose language you don't know, you will be spotted as spam. Your account may be globally blocked. Best regards! Tumbuka Arch (π‘»π’‚πž˜πž³) 08:40, 14 Januwale 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Tumbuka Arch Thank you. Can you also add the article to Wikidata: Q53268 HELGAPRV (talk) 09:08, 14 Januwale 2023 (UTC)Reply

 Done!
Tumbuka Arch (π‘»π’‚πž˜πž³) 10:40, 14 Januwale 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Tumbuka Arch Alright. You have added it to Wikidata, but other languages available for it doesn't appear when clicking on languages. Please see what's the issue and fix it. HELGAPRV (talk) 11:00, 14 Januwale 2023 (UTC)Reply

@HELGAPRV I double checked it. Everything is just fine.
Other languages that don't show up it means the article it not yet connected to Wikidata on that language, or there is no article at all on the Wikipedia of that language. Tumbuka Arch (π‘»π’‚πž˜πž³) 11:06, 14 Januwale 2023 (UTC)Reply
